Protect against discrimination claims

Widespread layoffs lead to an increased number of workplace discrimination claims, says a report from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. What to do to avoid problems in your company:

  • Be careful about giving promotions and structuring layoffs to avoid discrimination claims.
  • Carry Employment Practices Liability (EPL) insurance to defend against any claims that do arise.
